hotel door locking system - front desk unit. This unit is used to program the cards for the hotel door locks. It was required to have a small footprint. All connectors had to sit underneath the unit to avoid consuming too much counter space. The handset is removable from the docking station so it can be used to interrogate the room lock to see who has entered. Charlwood Design was involved in the selection of major electronic components, such as the LCD display and connectors. As a very visual part it was completely surface modelled in CDRS and then made into a Pro/Engineer solid. |
