Seating
system This is a component of one of the Olympic stadiums' seating systems. Its function is to operate as a barrier to prevent people falling from the row above whilst looking as if it is an integral part of the seat back. This was designed and tooled in an extremely short time period to meet the manufacturer's installation time frame. As a very visual part it was completely surface modelled in CDRS and then made into a Pro/Engineer solid. The solid model underwent extensive Stress Analysis (Mechanica) and Plastic flow analyses (Moldflow) by our engineering team to assess the demanding load requirements. |
